IAQ is underrated, especially in older Northern Kentucky homes
A lot of the homes in Newport, Bellevue, and the older Fort Thomas neighborhoods have duct systems that haven’t been cleaned in 30+ years, no humidity control, and original-era filter slots that can’t hold a filter thicker than 1 inch. The result: high allergen load in the spring, static-shock winters, and a system that’s constantly fighting its own filter.
What we actually install
Whole-home air purifiers
4-inch and 5-inch media filters inside a purifier cabinet clear 99%+ of airborne particles and last 6–12 months vs. the 30-day 1-inch filters most systems ship with. UV-C and bipolar ionization options add a biological kill step for households with asthma or immune sensitivity.
Steam humidifiers
Winter air in Northern Kentucky regularly drops to 15–20% indoor humidity, painfully dry for occupants, bad for hardwood floors and musical instruments, and easier for viruses to spread in. A whole-home steam humidifier bumps indoor RH to 35–45%, drastically reducing all of those.
Duct cleaning (when it’s actually needed)
We’re honest about this: duct cleaning is overprescribed by the industry. Most homes don’t need it. The homes that do: post-renovation debris, visible mold, pest intrusion, or a 50-year system that’s visibly full of dust when you pull a register cover. We won’t sell you a duct cleaning you don’t need.
What sets this indoor air quality job apart.
4-inch media filter retrofits for older homes, finally get a real filter on a vintage system.
Honest IAQ diagnostics. Got mild spring allergies? Start with a media filter. We won't upsell UV.
Steam humidifier installs that don't leak, bolted and drained correctly, not a 20-minute retrofit.
NADCA-standard duct cleaning only when warranted, never as default.
indoor air quality, quick answers.
- Marginally, for most people. A better filter helps more. We recommend UV specifically for households with immunocompromised members or persistent mold issues, not as a default upgrade.
- If you have hardwood floors, musical instruments, dry skin complaints all winter, or someone in the household gets sick constantly November–March, yes, probably. Dry air is measurably harder on your home and your body.
- Almost never, unless there's a specific trigger (renovation, mold, pests, or a 40+ year system with no filter history). Every 3–5 years at the high end for homes with pets and older systems.

“Mike and his crew were great throughout the entire process! Our furnace went out last week and the same day we called Mike he was able to come out and inspect everything. The next day we received a quote. Mike was very thorough and explained everything to us. He ran numbers with and without the a/c unit since we didn’t NEED the a/c replaced. We asked for both because we knew it was a matter of time before it went out too. Mike was able to give very reasonable and affordable pricing, financing is also available. While we were waiting for the install later in the week, Mike gave us heaters to use to keep our house warm- they were a huge help so we were not placed out of our home while waiting. Mike did excellent communicating with us letting us know where we were in the process. The day of the install came and Mike and his crew were fantastic! They had our entire hvac system replaced, as well as our whole home humidifier and thermostat, in one day! There was no trace that they had even been in our home. There was no mess. Everything is up and running and our home is comfortable! Thank you Mike and crew for replacing our unit, being professional, and affordable! I HIGHLY recommend this company!”
“Watson replaced and relocated our AC unit and installed a UV filter and humidifier. We initially asked about replacing our heating unit as well but he told us that there was no need to at this time. Most companies will just take your $ and not do what is in the best interest of the customer. He took the time to answer all of our questions to help us make a decision about what was right for our house. Mike and his team were professional and courteous, the work was exemplary, and his pricing is very competitive (it beat a larger local installer). He even topped off the coolant in our old unit at no charge to carry us through a few hot days until the new install. We will be using Watson for all of our HVAC servicing going forward.
